As passionate students of Yoga ourselves, we are proud to present to you a comprehensive learning experience in which you will delve into the varied aspects of this ancient tradition. Our faculty of highly-skilled, seasoned yogis will guide your practice as you build community and create lifelong friendships and connections.

We will challenge you to explore yoga beyond asana and deepen your own practice — one that will serve as the basis for building a thriving career while offering this healing and transformative practice to today’s world!

OUR CURRICULUM

 
Our program covers the following topics:After completing our program, you will possess the skills to:
  • Alignment, Benefits, Modifications for Yoga Postures

  • Sequencing Skills

  • Confidence-Building Through Practice Teaching

  • Western Anatomy Principles

  • Yoga Philosophy,  Literature & Lifestyle

  • Pranayama (Breathing Practices) & Meditation

  • Chakras & Yogic Anatomy

  • Language & Classroom Management Skills

  • Ethics & Business Principles for Yoga Teachers

  • Introduction to Popular Yoga Styles Such as Prenatal, Children’s, Yin & Restorative

  • Personal Practice Development

  • Teach public yoga classes authentically and confidently to new and experienced students

  • Create a welcoming class environment for students of varying ages and abilities

  • Offer adaptation, variations & modification of yoga postures to address different students’ needs

  • Develop stress-management tools for yourself and your students

  • Incorporate elements of gentle, yin, and restorative yoga into your classes

  • Discover your own authentic teaching voice and unique style

AFTER COMPLETING THIS 200 HOUR TRAINING, YOU CAN:

  • Become a nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) through Yoga Alliance®

  • Teach Hatha and Hatha Flow yoga classes in a variety of environments, such as yoga studios, gyms, or corporate settings

  • Register for 500-hour Advanced Courses and specialize in a variety of styles, including Yin, Restorative, Prenatal, Children, Vinyasa, and more.

    FACULTY AND COMMUNITY

    When you join the Yoga Yoga family, you will experience deep transformation in a supportive community of dedicated yoga practitioners and teachers. From enrollment to graduation, you will benefit from the attention and guidance of a tenured Lead Teacher, supplemented by contributions from our faculty experts in the fields of anatomy and research, physical therapy, Ayurveda, kinesiology, psychology, literature and language, and education.

    LOCATION & SCHEDULE

    This training meets every Thursday night from 5:30 – 9:30pm over 10 months at Yoga Yoga North. There are also two intensive weekends, which meet on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 6:00pmpm.

KEWAL HAUSMANN

With over 16 years of teaching experience, Kewal Hausmann is dedicated to helping students feel inspired to make the choices which lead them towards happiness and personal satisfaction. Always the devoted yoga student himself, Kewal has attained his ERYT 500 and C-IAYT which requires 800 hours of advanced specialized therapeutic study.  He has intricate knowledge of the body and anatomy, as a licensed massage therapist. Kewal is also Reiki Level 2 practitioner.

Along with a desire to improve people’s overall health and wellbeing, Kewal is committed to creating a space where all are welcome and celebrated. His genuine, fun-loving approach and his focus on helping people feel better are meant as a beacon of light to all those who feel they don’t fit in, whether it’s because of body type, race, gender, sexual orientation, or anything else. He began his practice to answer his own questions and started teaching to help overcome his own social anxiety, and he believes in sharing the power of yoga to achieve the same for his students. People under Kewal’s tutelage and in his classes develop the understanding they are capable of doing so much more than they expected when they bring their body, mind, and heart together.

While he is not one to take himself too seriously, he does take yoga very seriously—yoga makes people feel better, and for him, that’s how you make the world a better place. Anticipate a fun learning environment where you will learn how to effectively transmit the yoga teachings.  You will gain the knowledge of how to meet students where they are and create a dynamic classroom experience encompassing all the elements of practice. Kewal will teach you how to teach yoga in a joyful, safe, and loving atmosphere and for all students.
