HATHA BEGINNERS SERIES @ NORTH WITH DEVA
Our Beginners Series are constructed to give you a solid foundation in yoga so you will feel confident attending our ongoing classes on our regular schedule. Pre-registration is required.
Hatha Yoga is excellent for increasing flexibility, developing strength, improving body awareness, building concentration, and calming the mind. The Hatha Yoga Foundation Series teaches you basic yoga techniques, including the alignment and form of the postures, breath awareness methods and meditation techniques.
An unlimited month of yoga is included in your Beginners Series, so take all the yoga you want while you grow your practice!
about your teacher
Deva
Deva has a deep passion for teaching, practicing and studying the technology of yoga. He completed his 200 hour Kundalini Teacher Training program with Yoga Yoga in 2003 and the 200 hour Flow-Based Hatha program in 2014. Deva has been teaching public and private classes, workshops and special events for over 12 years. In addition to yoga, Deva has delved deeply in shamanism and completed a 2 year studies program with Jose and Lena Stevens while living in Santa Fe. His travels took him to the Andes mountain, the Amazon jungle, the deserts of Mexico and the Southwest of the US, working with the wise elders, medicine men and women to develop his ceremonial, healing and leadership abilities.
Deva currently teaches all level Hatha Yoga classes and the Hatha Beginners’ Series. Students can expect a sacred, neutral and transformational space for healing the body, clearing the mind and opening the heart. Classes are designed with themes and students are encouraged to utilize these themes towards your own personal growth and goals. Asana (posture), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra (vibrational resonance), meditation and deep relaxation to the healing sounds of the gong are all employed to great effect.
