Yoga for Women’s Health

Now, more than ever, our world needs a fully embodied and fully realized feminine energy to help bring balance back to our communities and our environment. The philosophy and practice of Yoga can help every woman tap into her own inherent feminine power, and use it as a force to heal herself and, by extension, our world.

This 50-hour course will draw from the ancient knowledge of Yoga, Indian mythology, Ayurveda, and specific yoga techniques to bring understanding, inspiration, and integration to all major phases of a woman’s life. Students will be guided into an exploration of their roles as women, mothers, daughters, and sisters in an atmosphere that encourages non-judgemental witnessing and radical personal acceptance. Through an inclusive circle of feminine support, each participant will be invited to embrace the beautiful imperfection of her own journey, and learn to support herself as she reclaims the beauty and power of her own feminine essence.

In this course, you will learn:

  • Discover the difference between feminine and masculine yogic perspectives
  • Learn about the overview of a woman’s life from the perspective of Ayurveda
  • Explore practices and receive wisdom from teachers in multiple stages of life: Girlhood, Womanhood, and Wise Womanhood
  • Deepen your understanding of menstruation, menopause & the endocrine system, and experience specific practices to support each stage of your reproductive life
  • Learn the anatomy of the pelvic floor and how to create, support, and maintain pelvic floor health for life
  • Experience effective yogic tools (such as asana, pranayama, and meditation) for relationships, sexuality and fertility, motherhood, aging, and grief
  • Receive nurturing feminine support and guidance in the form of share circles and self-care practices
  • Cultivate a sense of divine feminine power and community that can translate into your personal practice or teaching.


Prerequisites

Completion of a 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course.

Fridays: 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Saturdays and Sundays: 12:00pm - 6:00pm

WEEKEND 1: March 23 - 25

WEEKEND 2: May 4 - 6

WEEKEND 3: June 15 - 17
