Scientific Research
The Yoga Care Foundation collaborates with yoga leaders, alternative healthcare practitioners, medical experts and like-minded organizations to determine the most current and authentic findings around yoga and its positive impact on health and quality of life.

Currently, the Yoga Care Foundation and the University of Texas Kinesiology Lab are conducting a joint research study on yoga and cardiovascular health.

Yogis and Non-Yogis Wanted for Research Study
Would you like to participate in a research study about yoga and gain valuable information about your heart health? The Yoga Care Foundation and UT’s Kinesiology Lab are conducting a joint study on yoga and cardiovascular health. Participants will receive information regarding their body fat percentage, blood vessel health, and blood pressure. Participants are required to attend two, two-hour sessions on the UT main campus and should be ages 40-60 with no current illnesses or injuries.

The non-yogis needed for this study must not have exercised regularly within the past 6 months and should be new to yoga. This could be a great opportunity for your spouse, co-worker or friend who doesn’t practice yoga yet! The experienced yoga participants should have a minimum of 3 years of yoga practice and currently practice at least 3 days a week.

A suggested donation of $100 to the Yoga Care Foundation is recommended but not required to participate in the study. For more information, email heartstudy@yogayoga.com.
