Haramara
Yoga Retreat
Sayulita, Mexico
June 8-14, 2008
By
popular demand, Yoga Yoga is returning to the pristine Pacific beaches
of Mexico for an incredible yoga vacation with teachers Matt Borer and
Sapphire Bell. This will be our only vacation for 2008, so reserve your
space soon!
Haramara
Retreat Center is located on the beach just 40 miles north of Puerto Vallarta
and near the fishing village of Sayulita. Haramara is a sacred Huichol
word for "Mother Sea". The diverse terrain and secluded location
create a relaxing experience of natural beauty. The sounds of pounding
surf, gentle breezes and the songs of tropical birds are perfectly suited
to the environment and the Pacific breezes keep the climate temperate
and comfortable year-round. The area receives 345 days of sunshine a year
and is located in the same latitude as the Hawaiian Islands.
The
resort's cabanas are built of the finest tropical woods and native materials.
All cabanas include spacious rooms with private bathrooms, and enjoy breathtaking
ocean and mountain views. The yoga practice space provides an incredible
open view of mountains, jungle and ocean.
The
private secluded beaches are embraced by the luxury of tropical vegetation.
The Pacific breeze keeps the climate deliciously mild. Volcanic highlands,
lakes and rivers, as well as innumerable beaches, many of which still
remain untouched, mark the diverse terrain.
Days
may be spent exploring the surrounding volcanic highlands, enjoying the
pristine untouched beaches, indulging in massage or spa treatments, taking
an eco-tour adventure, or relaxing with quiet time. Spend as much or as
little time as you like on your yoga practice with 2-3 class choices daily.
"Last
spring, my wife Kathy & I went to this great little retreat about
50 miles from Puerta Vallarta called Haramara (Huichol Indian word for
Mother Ocean) for a week to chill out. It was even better than we imagined!
You stay in the coastal jungle in these awesome little casitas (little
houses) and are served three Ayurvedic-inspired meals per day. All the
casitas have an ocean view and you can hear the surf all day and night.
They have a beautiful elevated yoga practice room at one of the highest
points. You can open all the wall panels and practice with a 360-degree
view of the ocean, jungle and mountains." - Danny
