Haramara

ADVENTURES, ACTIVITES, & ECO-TOURS

When not relaxing or doing yoga, you can select from several optional day excursions offered at Haramara including:

Marietes Islands Snorkeling Adventure
The Marietes Islands ("Island of the Birds") are small islands off the Pacific coast that are a dedicated wildlife reserve. Hundreds of varieties of birds, as well as all sorts of ocean wildlife, populate these uninhabited islands. Hiking trails and ocean caves are fun to explore as well as observing the wildlife on the islands and off the coast. This is also an excellent area to snorkel with abundant tropical fish and scenic water caves on the beach.

For this excursion, we will leave in the morning and be driven a few miles up the coast to Punta Mita, a small village and one of the area's best places for deep-sea diving, snorkeling and surfing. It is also renown as having some of the best restaurants in all of Mexico. At the village dock, you will be greeted by your boat captain and depart for the half hour trip to the Marietes Islands Wildlife Reserve.
After a short tour you are free to snorkel the beachside as well as in some wonderfully scenic caves.
$80.00 per person (Minimum of 6 people)

Mountain Biking
For this tour, you have 2 choices depending on your level of biking experience and time concerns.

Option 1

The biking tour departs at 6:30-7am and lasts about 1 hour.
The cost is $35 per person.

Option 2
Cross the jungle to Higuera Blanca, ending up at the secluded Playa Litibu. There, you will have the opportunity to take a break and explore the remote, long sandy beach and fill your body with pure fresh air. The biking tour departs at 6:30-7am and lasts about 3 hours. The cost is $55 per person.

Sunset Sailing
On this tour, just lie down on one of the many comfy deck cushions and enjoy the most amazing sunsets sailing on the Sayula I. There will be an open bar and snacks offered on the cruise.

The boat leaves at 5pm and returns at 8 pm. $90 per person.

Bird Contemplation Tour
Experience the magic of bird watching, as you enjoy the pure natural beauty of tropical birds. Your tour will be led by a knowledgeable local guide for a little bit of education with your fun. Feel the beauty of nature as you learn about tropical ecosystems from a spiritual, ecological and artistic perspective.
The cost is $70 (including a 10 % donation for various projects of
environmental protection).

Another option is to take a 2 ½ hour early morning hike (6:30 to 9) to
discover the Haramara area in an early contemplative morning walk where you will also have the opportunity to learn about the birds and animals living in harmony with us.
The cost is $40 (10% donation fee)

Zip Lines/Horseback Riding
Take a tour to the place of your choice. Either go to the jungle for the excitement of soaring through the treetops on a zip line, or take a relaxing horseback ride on the beach.
One hour for $25 each.
