Classes
Classes meet twice a month on Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6 PM to
accommodate both out of town students as well as students who need weekend
mornings for personal time. The five month course allows you to develop
a strong learning and practice rhythm in the classroom while also creating
space for your own self-study and individual exploration. Lectures and
discussions are followed by extended practice sessions. Emphasis is
on doing and experience. A typical weekend session focuses on asanas
and therapeutic applications, including anatomy of movement, as well
as the transformational practices of yoga, including pranayama, meditation,
philosophy, yogic anatomy and lifestyle. Click

Retreat
The weekend
retreat is held at the beautiful Margaret Austin Retreat Center in Chapel
Hill, a country drive away from Austin. The site of yoga and meditation
gatherings for over 30 years, the retreat center is the perfect environment
for exploring the transformational process of daily yoga practice and
living. With all your needs provided for, you can devote your energy
to deepening your yoga practice and knowledge in a focused and accelerated
manner. Absolutely delicious yogic meals, simple clean accommodations,
fresh country air and deep well water create a healing and elevating
experience that will take you into the heart of a yogic lifestyle. Rides
will be arranged for all participants through carpooling or group transportation.
