Jenn draws from several traditional yoga lineages to teach a Vinyasa Flow Yoga style that cultivates grace, freedom, fun and loving-kindness. Her classes are powerful, but feminine and she integrates her academic background in biology, anatomy and physiology with the healing techniques of yoga to make the exploratory journey from mind to body to heart. Her classes focus on the process over the poses and the importance of discovering your inner teacher and your own authentic expression of yoga.
Registered with Yoga Alliance, Jenn’s roots lie in both Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga. She completed her 200-hour training in Ko Phangan, Thailand in the tradition of the Swami Gitananda ashram in Pondicherry, India. Her training delved deeply into the art of pranayama, bhakti yoga and meditation. This provided a much needed balance as her initial foray into yoga was narrowly focused on the physical aspect of yoga. She has taught more than 1,500 class hours and has also trained in Thai Yoga Massage.
Jenn enjoys rock climbing in her spare time and has lived in Austin for over 12 years with extended sabbaticals to Thailand, Venezuela and Mexico. Her yoga practice and her family are the glue that holds her life together and she is deeply grateful for both.
