Yoga
and the Vedic Sciences
Friday May 7, 6:30 - 8:30 PM
The
sister sciences of Yoga include Ayurveda (Indian medicine), Jyotisha
(Indian astrology), Vástu (Indian feng shui), and Tantra (integration).
All of these paths were practiced together to realize the Unity of all
existence. While each focuses on one aspect of life, together they pave
our path to happiness by addressing life in its every facet. Robert
Svoboda will examine how we can use Ayurveda, Jyotisha, Vástu,
and Tantra, both singularly and collectively, to improve our health
and our life. He has an informal and humorous approach that makes this
ancient knowledge both accessible and entertaining.
Cost:
$35 ($45 after April 15)

Creating
Sacred Space: Vástu for Your Home
Saturday May 8, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Our
happiness and health are strongly influenced by the spaces we live and
work in. Through appropriate design and allocation of areas in the home
and workplace according to the principles of Vástu (Indian feng
shui), we can optimize our everyday life, relationships, and prosperity.
Originally used in the construction of temples and sacred spaces, Vástu
has great meaning today in the lives of spiritual seekers and yoga practitioners.
Dr. Robert Svoboda, an expert and forthcoming author on Vástu,
shares his knowledge of creating sacred space in our own lives.
Cost:
$55 ($65 after April 15)

Karma
and the Cosmic Cycles: Jyotisha for Self-Understanding
Saturday May 8, 3:00 - 6:00 PM
Jyotisha
(Eastern astrology) was practiced along with Yoga and Ayurveda for hundreds
of years to create optimal conditions for health, happiness, and transformation.
Jyotisha helps us understand our karmas, fulfill our destiny, and use
our innate strengths to overcome the challenges that each lifetime brings.
The birth chart of each individual is a karmic DNA code that holds the
secret for your transformation. Dr. Robert Svoboda, the author of two
books on Jyotisha, will discuss the cosmic cycles that run through your
life and how to best live in harmony with astrological time.
Cost:
$55 ($65 after April 15)

Rejuvenation: Staying Juicy and Living Long

practice of Ayurveda, or the ancient yogic science of healing. When
we live in harmony with our basic nature through proper diet and lifestyle
practices, we stay juicy and live life to its fullest. In this fascinating
and practical workshop, Dr. Robert Svoboda, the first Westerner to be
trained in Ayurveda, shares with us the secrets of Rasayana, the "path
