Paul Grilley - January 2009
Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley
Friday, January 30th - Sunday February 1st, 2009
Yoga Yoga Westgate

Most forms of Yoga practiced today are Yang, emphasizing repetitions of movements that require strength and balance. Yin Yoga, a relaxed practice of floor postures held for three to five minutes at a time is the ideal complement to the more muscular Yang Yoga. A Yin practice emphasizes the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine preparing the body and the mind for longer meditation practices. By drawing the student's awareness away from the muscles and deeper into the bones a deep level of relaxed focus is achieved.

Take the entire Yin Yoga Weekend for $195 ($225 after January 1)

In day one, skeletal differentiations will be explored as well as the concept of tension versus compression. Learn through explorations in your own body!
Cost: $95 ($115 after January 1)

Chakra Theory and Meditation
Friday January 30th, 1:00 - 4:00
Yoga Yoga Westgate

Chi (prana) is the energy that animates the body, Meridians are the channels in which Chi flows, and Chakras are spiritual centers in the brain and spine that control the flow of Chi. The fundamental premise of Hatha Yoga, Tantra Yoga and Taoism is that these energies need to be brought under the Yogi's control if the mind is to be calmed and the Self revealed. This class will explore some practices from Paul's DVD "Chakra Theory and Meditation".
Cost: $50 ($60 after Jan 1)
