WHEN:

WHO:
Classes for downtown residents, employees, and visitors. Hosted by Austin Parks
Foundation, Downtown Austin Alliance, and YOGA YOGA.
MEDIA OPP:
Yoga classes will take place on the berms of historic Republic Square Park,
one of downtown Austin's few remaining greenspaces. Republic Square Park was
deemed public land for community gatherings in 1839 by Colonel Edwin Waller.
Through a public/private partnership APF, DAA & PARD are working to revitalize
Republic Square Park to make it a healthy and active destination park. Though
the park often is overlooked and underused, programming such as free yoga classes
showcases the importance of preserving and improving the "living room"
of downtown.
