Yoga Founder Mehtab Benton Hosts Book Signing and Gong Concert

Texas - (August 13, 2008) Yoga Yoga founder and Kundalini teacher Mehtab
Benton will host a free book signing for his new book, Gong Yoga: Healing
and Enlightenment through Sound, on Friday, August 22, from 6-6:30 p.m.
at Yoga Yoga Westgate, 4477 S. Lamar. A gong concert at the same location
is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., during which Benton will demonstrate the sound
of the gong and its healing modalities. The fee for the gong workshop

Mehtab Benton
Mehtab Benton, a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer and an Experienced 500-Hour
Registered Yoga teacher (ERYT-500), is the author of 11 books and over
100 articles on yoga, heath, diet and nutrition. A three-time presenter
at the Southwest Yoga Conference and a recipient of the International
Kundalini Yoga Teacher's Association "Building Communities in Yoga"
award in 2000, Benton and his wife Guru Karam are the founding partners
of the Yoga Yoga studios in Austin, Texas. Benton completed a Kundalini
Yoga teacher-training program in 1974 at the Hargobind Ashram in San Rafael,
California, where he taught Kundalini Yoga in public schools and drug
rehabilitation programs. He is president of the Yoga Care Foundation,
a non-profit organization that supports research, education and community
outreach around the benefits and practice of yoga, and is a past board
member for the 3HO Foundation, which is dedicated to spreading teachings
of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Benton has an educational
background in psychology with advanced training in Integrative Yoga Therapy.
