Author of the best-selling book K.I.S.S. Guide to Yoga and internationally recognized yoga teacher Shakta Kaur Khalsa will offer a yoga workshop and two children's yoga teacher training courses at Yoga Yoga, 4477 South Lamar Boulevard, on January 16-18, 2004.

Guide, as well as give practical advice and actual experience in doing yoga. The workshop provides an introduction to yoga for beginners and a new look at this ancient science for the experienced practitioner. The workshop fee is $30.

The two children's yoga teacher training courses will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17-18, from noon - 7 p.m. each day. The level one teacher training course on Jan. 17 gives an overview of children's yoga with guidelines for teaching. There will be a special focus on teaching yoga to physically challenged and at risk children, as well as to those with learning disabilities. The level two teacher training course on Jan. 18 focuses on yoga safety and nutrition tips, yoga games, and meditation for children. This course has been accepted for CEUs for public school teachers and Registered Yoga Teachers and as credit hours toward Yoga Alliance RYT-200 certification.
