YOGA YOGA PLANS FALL LAUNCH OF NEW WEBSITE FOR ONLINE VIDEO CLASSES
YogaYogaNow.com will feature online yoga classes in multiple yoga styles for beginners and experienced students
Austin, Texas – (August 15, 2011) Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX, is launching a new yoga video website, YogaYogaNow.com. Featuring online video classes taught by Yoga Yoga teachers, the website allows for instant viewing of a wide variety of yoga classes including Introduction to Yoga, Hatha, Hatha Flow, Kundalini, Pre-Natal & Postnatal and Meditation. The first online classes will be available for viewing during the annual citywide Free Day of Yoga event on September 5, 2011. The official website, YogaYogaNow.com, will be launched later this fall.
“YogaYogaNow.com online classes make yoga more accessible for people who aren't able to go to a yoga studio,” explains Rich Goldstein, CEO at Yoga Yoga. “Taking a yoga class in the comfort of your own home via an online class is a great opportunity for people who are new to yoga to try a class for the first time or for existing students to try a different style of yoga or a new teacher.”
According to the 2008 Yoga in America study, 15.8 million U.S. adults practice yoga. The 2008 study also indicated that almost half of current practitioners started practicing yoga to improve their overall health. One significant trend to emerge from the study is the use of yoga as medical therapy. According to the study, nearly 14 million Americans say that a doctor or therapist has recommended yoga to them. In addition, nearly half of all adults agree that yoga would be beneficial if they were undergoing treatment for a medical condition. Research studies have shown yoga to be beneficial for people with a wide variety of health conditions including cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, eating disorders, and chronic pain. General health benefits of yoga include stress relief, increased strength and flexibility, and improved concentration.
