2:00pm - 4:30pm

When practiced with attention and intention, the simple movements of the Surya Namaskara contain all of the treasures of yoga. Through careful study of ujjayi breathing, the bandhas (energetic seals), and driste (intentional gaze), we will develop and refine our practice of the Surya Namaskara to facilitate the union of mind, breath, and body that defines the practice of yoga.

A variety of variations on the Surya Namaskara will be presented. All levels of practitioners are welcome to attend.

2:00pm - 4:30pm

In this workshop we will flow slowly through various asanas that will awaken and prepare the body. Then we will begin to examine alignment and technique in specific poses such as headstand, forearm balance and handstand, allowing us to cultivate ease and steadiness as we turn upside down.

Flow experience is needed.

The fast pace world can leave us feeling dull and stressed out. Yin yoga helps to quiet the mind, quiet the nerves. You'll be able to stretch out on your mat in longer held relaxed postures. Time will seem to stand still as you find the wave of breath, listen to your heart and let go into healing silence.
