Join Gurucharan Singh Khlasa, one of the first western students to study with Yogi Bhajan over 40 years ago, to explore the gong, the essence of Kundalini, meditation and more!
Awaken your intuition through Kundalini yoga exercises and meditation and then enjoy a journey into the sound of the gong played by Gurucharan, a master gong player.
A kriya is a sequence of yoga postures, breath work, movement, mantra, mudra and meditation that produces a guaranteed effect. For example, some Kundalini yoga kriyas work on balancing the heart while others may give you stress-free vitality.
These ancient practices, or kriyas, form the basis of all Kundalni Yoga and have been taught in their original form by yoga teachers and masters.
In this workshop with Gurucharan Singh, a world-renown senior Kundalini Yoga teacher, you will learn how to deepen your appreciation of Kundalini Yoga by understanding how kriya works and what you can do to maximize your benefits from your practice.
During our life and during our meditation practice, we journey through well-known stages of development that have both their opportunities and challenges. When you can recognize and identify your stage of practice, meditation becomes an exciting adventure that carries you to your destination. Without this roadmap, we may become lost or discouraged.
Working personally with Yogi Bhajan, the master of Kundalini Yoga, Gurucharan Singh Khalsa was able to document the 21 stages of meditation and what the yoga student might expect on this path. He will lead you through some of the most interesting, promising and challenging stages through various meditation techniques.
This transformational information is behind all the practices of meditation and will give you a powerful perspective on your spiritual journey.
March 25, 2012,
9:00 AM - 12 noon and 1:30 - 5:00 PM
Come experience the most powerful meditations for the Aquarian Age in this full day intensive with the word’s expert Kundalini yoga teacher.
You will discover how the effects of meditations often depend on the length of time they are practiced, and that some meditations are most powerfully experienced at a specific threshold. For example, one meditation may give its best results at 11 minutes while another may only deliver its fullest impact after 2 ½ hours.
Guurcharan Singh Khlasa, one of the first western students to study with Yogi Bhajan over 40 years ago, shares his favorite meditations that are best experienced at an optimum length of practice.
We begin with a 3-minute meditation and then experience a 11-minute meditation. As we develop our meditative mind, we will work with a 31-minute meditation and finish our morning with a powerful 62-minute meditation. With each meditation, you will learn the specific benefits you receive at these different time periods.
After a break for lunch, we will return in the afternoon for the grandest Kundalini Yoga experience, an incredible 2 ½ hour meditation that changes you at the cellular level. We will end the day with a journey into the sound of the gong, played by one of the premier gong players in the Kundalini tradition, Gurucharan.
This is a day of meditation that takes you beyond your self-imposed limitations and delivers you to your Infinite Self.
