Liz B

Liz has been practicing Hatha yoga for over 15 years, having taught since 1999. Liz has been a devoted student of Anusara yoga since 1998, when she met Anusara founder John Friend. She continues to study with John, and has had extensive training under her heart's mentor Mary Keator, a certified Anusara teacher trainer. She has also studied Ashtanga yoga with David Swenson and Sharon Moon, and Iyengar yoga under many high-level instructors. Liz is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and is on the faculty of Yoga Yoga's Hatha Teacher Training program. She holds an MFA in Poetics from Naropa University, is a Registered Massage Therapist with additional training in Thai massage and Therapeutics Training with John Friend.

Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda
Recommended for students who are interested in the more mystical experience of yoga. It reads like a great adventure novel, full of delightful stories of this great yogi's experiences on the spiritual path.

The Breathing Book and Yoga Mind, Body and Spirit by Donna Farhi
Especially for beginners; she's a great writer and a great teacher and she offers the philosophical basics for yoga as well as wonderful guidance on how to do the poses, including clear instructions and photographs, how to adapt the poses for any level, how to choreograph and sequence home sessions, and benefits as well as contraindications for every pose.

A true bhakti whose voice moves me. I recommend anything by him. I love to sing along with him in the car, at home, and while I practice.
