Larissa

Larissa

Larissa is a full-time Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor specializing in restoring balance, energy, freedom of movement, and body mind awareness through one's asana practice. She began practicing yoga in 1998, and is currently working towards her E-RYT-500 Certification through Yoga Alliance.
She teaches all levels, Beginners to Advanced, in a variety of asana formats: Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, and Therapeutic Hatha with a deeply integrated focus on body alignment. She studies regularly with Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee, Aadil Palkhivala, Seane Corn, Baron Baptiste, Tias Little, Ana Forrest, Desiree Rumbaugh and Richard Freeman. Her main spiritual influences are Thich Nhat Hanh, Sri Aurobindo and Eckhart Tolle.
She sees yoga as a continual journey which calls upon our deepest courage to sustain. She encourages her students to find this courage, and to find their own truth in the teachings and in the simple stillness of breath, on or off the mat.

Larissa is also the conference photographer for Yoga Journal magazine, attending and documenting all their annual conferences.
