This February is Share Yoga Month. Take advantage of this special program to introduce others to their first Yoga Yoga class.
Prenatal Yoga uses postures, breathing, and meditation from both the Hatha and Kundalini Yoga traditions to help ease pregnancy, delivery and the after effects of birth. The classes create flexibility, focus, strength, and awareness through a gentle practice that is designed especially for the pregnant woman's needs. Prenatal Yoga classes provide a safe and supportive environment for expectant mothers and are a wonderful way to connect with other mothers-to-be. The classes are appropriate for both new and experienced yoga students.

"Prenatal classes at Yoga Yoga not only helped me deal with the aches and pains that come with the territory of pregnancy - but most importantly provided loving guidance on my path toward discovering myself as a mother." -Tiffany

All Prenatal Yoga classes are appropriate for beginning students as well as experienced students. Please let your teacher know about any health concerns or injuries that could effect your yoga practice.
Prenatal Yoga classes are held at all of our locations. Because Prenatal Yoga classes draw from various yoga traditions, it is helpful to try different classes and teachers to find which is the best fit for you. Arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of your first class so that you can check in at the front desk and get registered if you are a new student. Wear clothes that are comfortable and that you can move and breathe easily in. Many women like to wear loose fitting pants (such as pajama style pants), exercise pants, or leggings with a t-shirt. Yoga is done with bare feet so leave your shoes in the shoe shelf by our front entrance.
You may like to bring a yoga mat with you to class as some Prenatal Yoga classes are held in rooms with hard wood floors. (Yoga mats are available free for first-time students to use. After that, you may rent a mat for $1 per class or bring your own mat.) If your class is held in a room with a carpeted floor, a yoga mat is not necessary but you are welcome to use one if you like. Blankets, pillows, and bolsters (wide, support pillows) are provided in all yoga rooms and you are welcome to use any of these items.
