Donations
In 2006 we donated more than $10,000 in class passes to local organizations
for fundraising events. Some of the organizations included: Austin
Community College, The Austin Film Festival, Austin Humane Society,
Austin Waldorf School, The ARC, Cap City Men’s Chorus, The Downs Syndrome
Association of Central Texas, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, The Save Our
Springs Alliance, The Settlement Home… and many more.
In 2005, Yoga Yoga also collected donations from our students who
donated more than $2,000 in non-perishables for the Capital Area Food
bank during the Katrina disaster and over the Holidays.

Practice
Seva, Make a Contribution
Seva is the spiritual practice of selfless service, a practice of Karma
Yoga, where activities are assumed for the benefit of the greater good
without concern for personal benefit. The path of Karma-Yoga is described
in detail in the Bhagavad-Gîtâ.
Yoga Yoga encourages this yogic practice and strives to provide regular
opportunities for seva. Just keep an eye out at the studios for occasional
collection bins and on our website for seva opportunities and events.
Yoga Yoga is proud to be a sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Austin Race for
the Cure for since 2005. In 2007, the Yoga Yoga team raised over $11,000
with 65 team members. We were the 3rd highest fundraising team in the
Austin race. Click

In
2007, Yoga Yoga helped to form the Yoga
Care Foundation. This yoga-centric organization's fundraising activities
support research, education and community outreach around the benefits
and practice of yoga.
